Action Pact Workshop: Short-Stay Households

Participants will take an in-depth look at the positive impact the Household Model of care can have on short stay residents. Utilizing concepts of the Household Model that are successful with long-stay residents, and considering the changing regulatory and reimbursement landscape, strategies will be identified for providing the short stay clientele an experience of care delivery that succeeds in all aspects. Continuing education: The National Continuing Education Review Service of the National Association of Boards of Examiners of Long Term Care Administration (NAB) has approved this program for 6 clock hours.

About the presenter: Angie Barr, LNHA, has been the Health Care Center Administrator at The Davis Community in Wilmington, NC since 2009. Angie led the implementation of the Household Model at the Davis Community in planning, organizational redesign and construction for staff and residents. From this very successful transformation she has a great deal of first-hand experience and wisdom to share.
